I was notified today by my friend and colleague Janice Douglas of Vancouver Public Library that their 2007 One Book, One Vancouver author posted on her blog (http://www.ruthozeki.com/weblog/). Ruth Ozeki’s book ‘My Year of Meats’ is on my list of top 10 best books I’ve ever read, so I was thrilled to learn that she did most of her research in one of my favourite places on earth: the central branch of the Vancouver Public Library (the website needs some image updates, but those of you who have been there know what I mean!). Times like this make me miss VanGroovy even more. Way to go, VPL staff. Once again, you’ve done it. I wish you well with this fascinating book. Discussion is sure to be good.
